Very disappointed. I use to work here in the 80's and I've got to say they've primarily lost the plot on customer service. It's like they are doing us a favour by taking our money and shoving our purchases in a bag and pushing it in our direction without so much as a thank you. I was extremely disappointed recently when I made a purchase in kitchenwear on the weekend. Three times I said to the older sales assistant thank you and she just kept talking to her colleague ignoring me. Dreadful.
The one area that could train all others in customer service is the wonderful George in the Apple computers area. He and his colleagues are simply wonderful. Every other employee should go and see how it's done.
Sorry but no wonder you are suffering in the market. Every business is only as good as its people.
